Going live

Production unlocks once your business is verified and on a plan. Your code doesn’t change: you only swap the key.

  1. Verify your business

    In the dashboard, open Account → Verification and submit:

    • your registered business name, type and registration number (e.g. CAC RC or BN number)
    • your registered address and a compliance email
    • your director’s name and ID type
    • a certificate of incorporation and the director’s ID (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10MB)
    • optionally, a recent proof of address

    Documents are stored privately and only viewed by the Brrndops compliance team. Review usually takes 1–2 business days. If something needs fixing, you’ll see the reviewer’s note and can resubmit.

  2. Choose a plan

    Production requests count toward your plan’s included usage. During the beta, plans are set up by the Brrndops team. Contact support.

  3. Create a production key

    Switch the dashboard to Production and create a key under Developers → API keys. You’ll be asked for your password. Store the key in your production secrets.

  4. Run through the checklist below, then deploy

  • Production key stored in a secrets manager, never in code or logs.
  • Each system uses a restricted key with only the scopes it needs.
  • Every POST and PATCH sends an Idempotency-Key, and retries reuse it.
  • Errors are handled by code, with request_id logged (Handling errors).
  • Amounts are converted to minor units correctly for every currency you use (Amounts).
  • You’ve tested sending an invoice to your own address with a production key.
  • Teammates who need access have been invited with the right role (Account → Team).
